The Studio

From the beginning we have specialized in type design: Teaching type design, talking about type design, writing about type design, consulting on type design and practicing type design. 

We are mainly involved in custom typefaces, logotypes and lettering, but also retail typefaces, restoration, revivals and other tasks related to letters and font production. 

We work for clients directly or team up with graphic design studios, architects, advertising agencies etc for various projects related to »Skriftdesign«, the danish term for typedesign, lettering, writing all together. 

We help the clients to understand how they can benefit from a custom made typeface from a branding perspective and from a practical perspective, by defining their needs for a typeface, single or large scale & we see it as an honour to reduce the scope to their specific needs and habits.

»Trine Rask & the letters« was founded in 2004 by type designer Trine Rask after returning from Type&Media in The Hague to a pale landscape of type design in Denmark. By teaching both students, agencies & clients we have and will continue to contribute to the field of type design.
